Meet Melissa Chay

Rencontre avec Melissa Chay

Today we are going to meet the solar Mélissa, who is awaiting the arrival of her second child.

A meeting in the intimacy of her house in Marseille, a veritable cabinet of curiosity where the pieces of her husband and partner, the designer Alex Chay, mingle in a unique way with the sublime chaos of life.

How are you coping with this new pregnancy?
Very different from the first when you already have a little boy to take care of, it takes more energy! I can't wait for my daughter to arrive.

What are your little pleasures as a pregnant woman?
Take time for me whenever I can, a shiatsu massage, acupuncture, and yoga! What are your tips for a fulfilling pregnancy?
Relaxation and mindfulness. Homeopathic remedies and massages from her husband!

How do you choose your maternity clothes? What do you expect from it?
Pregnant comfort above all but not at the expense of style!

What looks have you adopted to accompany the new curves of your body?
Soft pants with elastic at the level of the sale, loose or tight dresses and large blouse.

What did you like about Paloma collection?
I really like their colorful prints and the comfort of the clothes.

What is your favorite piece at Paloma Collection?
The Thelma flower power dress that I am currently wearing! And the Andrea pants in flower power!

Now let's talk a bit about Marseille...

What do you like about your everyday life in Marseille? What inspiration?

I like the fact of being in town while being very close to nature and being able to escape to the Var or the Gard in 45 minutes.
Light in Marseille is a source of inspiration and well-being.

A typical Marseille family weekend?
We are often on the weekend mop.
But we like going for a coffee at deep, strolling through the bookstore in arnavaulx, going for lunch at the grocery store, which is ideal, we often go to the blue coast where axel grew up, the beaches of sausset les pins are pleasant with children. . We order a pizza from the good mother and we eat at home with our friends. On Sundays it's more nature towards the Sainte Victoire or the Calanques or the Camargue!

A restaurant not to be missed?
Ourea run by chef and friend Mathieu Roche and Camille Fromont. But without children it's better!

What are some exciting new things coming your way this year? (apart from your pregnancy 😉)
I already have a foothold in my husband's company, who is a designer, but from November I will oscillate between my motherhood and accompany him in this great design adventure!
